A Farmer’s Responsibility: Manjunath
When there’s a lockdown, other people can afford to stop going to work, but farmers can never stop growing crops. Being a farmer in these tough times, we have a duty towards the country to keep harvesting our produce, whether we get a good value for them or not.
Manjunath started farming after he completed his schooling 15 years ago. He takes care of his 6-acre land along with his wife and his parents. Even his kids enjoy helping around the farm. When Ninjacart came to his village, he was the first one to supply to our collection center. Manjunath grows different kinds of veggies such as cabbage, bitter gourd, potato, ridge gourd, green chilli, and bajji chilli.
Narrated by Ninjacart farmer Manjunath M H, Mallenahalli, Karnataka.
