When my customers were home quarantined, I felt responsible to serve them. I started taking orders on WhatsApp and successfully completed 250 home deliveries during the second wave of COVID. I also got the opportunity to set up a veggies and fruits stall inside apartment societies on the weekends.
Suresh owns Bangalore Horticulture Vegetables and Fruits store in Tin Factory area of Bengaluru. He has been running his businesses with his wife for the past 7 years. On an average, Suresh serves 55 families in a day. During the lockdown, Suresh had the brilliant idea to serve customers directly at their doorstep. He also accepted UPI payments with contactless deliveries. With this plan, he avoided crowding at his store and made sure his customers stayed at home without worrying about their daily essentials.
