Ingenuity and Efficiency in Crisis: Shubham Chaturvedi
Never say no to any work. Always work sincerely, you will get your reward in due time.
I joined Ninjacart in March 2021 as a Market Trade Manager in Delhi. My responsibility was to visit mandis and find out the prices of the produce on that day. After the lockdown was announced, I decided to take up more responsibilities that were not in my KRA, like procurement and sales. I was able to boost procurement and meet the market demand during the lockdown and I was quickly promoted to Area Trade Manager.
During the lockdown, our tonnage dropped drastically. I saved the jobs of my team members, by taking up procurement of produce, which was out of my KRA.
To fulfill our tonnage requirements, we gathered sources from truck drivers in mandis and established contacts with farmers from Uttar Pradesh. We were able to raise our tonnage from 40/week to 80/week. I felt it was my responsibility to ensure nobody lost jobs in a troubled time like the lockdown. I allocated 5 tons to each MDC so that everyone’s minimum targets were achieved.
Sacrifice is important for growth. My mentor, my father, always says that this is the age to work hard. My family is very happy seeing my growth in the company.
What I like best about Ninjacart is that it recognizes and rewards your hard work. In my previous company, my growth had plateaued; that was the reason I switched to Ninjacart. Along with good pay, Ninjacart’s fast-paced culture provided me with ample opportunities to grow quickly in my career. I find myself working harder and making better decisions as a Ninja, which has made my family very proud.
