Soldiers stand at our borders to protect the nation. Similarly, being a farmer, I want to serve my nation with healthy veggies during these tough times. Farmers must brave the virus and do our duty so there is adequate supply of veggies that every citizen can afford. If each one of us behaves responsibly, we will be healthy and the nation can overcome the pandemic.
Kantharaju was always passionate about farming. After he completed his schooling, he became a full-time farmer for 20 years. He has a 4-acre land that he tends to with his parents and his wife. His family cultivates potato, corn, sugarcane, bitter gourd, chilli, and ridge gourd. During the 2021 lockdown, Kantharaju was the only farmer to get the highest yield of bitter gourd in Belur taluk. Kantharaju supplies his veggies to Ninjacart and leads a peaceful life at his farm.
